About the Department
The Department of Paediatrics, IGGMCH Nagpur is committed to providing
quality education to undergraduate and postgraduate students, implementing various
training programmes, promoting academic and research activities, and conducting CME
programmes and workshops. The department actively contributes towards the implementation
of National Health Programmes related to child healthcare.

Clinical Services & Facilities
- The department runs a fully equipped 20-bedded Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
and 10-bedded Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) providing advanced care
for critically ill children. - The department functions through 3 clinical units, each catering to
30 beds. - A dedicated Day Care Centre for children with
Thalassemia and Sickle Cell Disease is run in collaboration with
Sankalp Foundation. - The department conducts NICU Follow-up OPD every Friday for monitoring
high-risk neonates after discharge. - Guest lectures by subject experts are conducted every Wednesday to
enhance academic learning and professional development.
