– After taking up the charge as Dean IGGMC Nagpur , Dr Chavhan has accomplished the following feats :
1. Efforts were made at the local and government levels to complete the 32 approved constructions in
the institution at the earliest
2. Efforts were made to increase the number of surgeries under MJPJAY SCHEME
3. About Rs. 16.50 crores of funds were provided to the institution under CSR fund a 40 seater electric
bus was donated by IDBI Bank
4. The institution successfully implemented a program for breast cancer and cervical cancer for one lakh
women in Nagpur district under his leadership
5. The program for the diagnosis of sickle cell disease of 43 thousand students was successfully
implemented in Nagpur district
6 . Dialysis center with 10 dialysis machines for in patients was started in the institution
7. 3 High standard smart classrooms were established for eye patients in a Government Medical College
8. For the first time in the state , a mobile eye clinic was established for eye patients in a Government
Medical College
9 . A central clinical laboratory was established and all tests were started
10. Efforts were made to create harmony in the work of local administration
