Mahatma Jyotirao Phule Jan Arogya Yojana (MJPJAY) — formerly known as Rajiv Gandhi Jeevandayee Arogya Yojana — is the flagship health insurance scheme of the Government of Maharashtra.

Financial Cover
Up to ₹5 Lakh per family per year on a floater basis, upgraded from the previous ₹1.5 Lakh limit.

Covers surgeries, therapies, hospitalization expenses, diagnostics, medicines, nursing care, and post-discharge consultations for designated procedures.

Eligibility & Required Documents
All valid ration card holders residing in Maharashtra are eligible. To register under MJPJAY at IGGMCH, present any of the following documents.

How to Access MJPJAY at IGGMCH (Mayo Hospital)
Follow these steps to access cashless treatment under the MJPJAY scheme.
Visit the MJPJAY Helpdesk (Arogyamitra)
Go directly to the dedicated MJPJAY / Arogyamitra Counter located near the main registration area or the Casualty block at IGGMCH.
Document Verification
Submit your Aadhaar Card and Ration Card to the Arogyamitra representative for online verification and identity matching on the state portal.
Doctor Evaluation & Pre-Authorization
The treating doctor at IGGMCH diagnoses the illness or surgical condition and submits an online Pre-Authorization request for the required medical procedure under the applicable scheme code.
Cashless Treatment & Admission
Once pre-authorization is approved — usually within hours or instantly for emergencies — admission, surgeries, implants, ICU stay, and medications are provided at zero cost under the applicable scheme coverage.
